Dear Boosteroo: I have had my Boosteroo for a year and have had NO problems. I attach one end to my little ZEN V Plus and the output to my Bose QC-2 headphones. Result? My volume on the ZEN is at 6 when I used to have to blast it at 14 or max it out to use it when walking. It is that good. Well done! I always demo the product by taking it off the boosteroo and then hooking the boosteroo back up. Everyone notices the difference. Great product. And by the way, your customer service is tops as well.
Thank you.

I use all 3 types, the "old" bostaroo (with transparent body) and the new one for portable and also one with the 12 VDC-cords. Bettest in my opinion is the old one, crisp sound with deepest bass! The new one has one big disadvantage: the used AAAA-cells are not easy to find in Europe. AAA are more common and should be planned for next product-update.

There are times when I prefer my volume a bit louder than most people and this great little gadget did it for me. Now I have it all... great comfort and great sound. Thank you!

Thank goodness for Boostaroo! My dad had trouble distinguishing conversations on television and had virtually stopped watching tv. Your Boostaroo for Ipod with up too 400% increase is the best toy I have had all year...It even beats the Rolex for my birthday!!! It gives back the volume I use to get out of my first Ipod 8 years ago..but does not give enough to distort the music. I finally after 4 years, now have to turn my Ipod Volume DOWN!!! I LOVE IT .....The Boostaroo is what I have been dreaming of for 5 years.......

I purchased you 12 volt amp for my 2010 Harley Softtail Deluxe.I was looking for a small consealable amp to boost the output of my Sirius plug and play receiver. What a product. I can listen with ear plugs with your inline volume control at less then half volume. The biggest asset to your amp is it already has 3.5 in and 3.5 out, not need for adapters. I will be getting another one after the holidays to boost my Sirius before the aux. input on my other Harly 2007 Ultra Classic...Bill Fort Lauderdale,Florida

Order it. Thats all I can say. If you have any doubts, trust me. It boosts volume ALOT and the sound is still clear. If there is anything I could wish for more, it would be a rechargable batterypack. Except that its the perfect product!

I just received my Boostaroo Revolution today and tried it out. It's fantastic! I have a pair of very high end, 300 ohm headphones, and with any portable player, the volume was far too low to listen to. But with your exceptionally compact, light weight Boostaroo Revolution, I now have the volume on my player set only half way up. Any more is just too loud. Best of all, it sounds like a high end amplifier. I can't believe the price! I have been waiting for such a product for years, and your wonderful product is exactly what I was looking for. This is the portable headphone amplifier to buy. Congratulations on a job well done!

Just got my Boostaroo and it works great. I expect you know that the European Union Nanny State, in its wisdom, has decreed that all music players which use headphones have a restricted maximum decibel output. So we Europeans have a miserable maximum volume on our ipods, mp3 players, etc. You have blown a hole in this legislation - all power to your elbow!!

I just bought your original (3 splitter) Boostaroo from RadioShack and LOVE it! I expected little boost and lots of distortion but instead got the boost I needed and no distortion even with my MP3 player turned all the way up! I'm using the Boostaroo in my car with my Archos 605 MP3 player which I play thru the car (Ford Freestyle) stereo. My problem was that even with the Archos and the car stereo turned all the way up some MP3's just didn't play loud enough to hear when the car windows were open. Now my problem is solved! Thanks for the pleasant surprise of a great product that exceeded my expectations!

I have been using my Sportster Sirius radio on my motorcycle with a MP3 player for a receiver for while with a lot of aggravation. The FM signal put out by the satellite radio is so weak, even at two feet away the reception was awful at times. I have been to at least 5 electronics stores and searching the internet off and on for fix for months with no luck. I kept being told, "the only way to pick up the signal is with a FM receiver." By chance I checked with TSS radio and was hoping for a miracle. I got it. The audio out on the sportster has no amplifier, only a direct link to a radio that will then boost the volume. The tss rep suggested I try a Boostaroo. Plugged it into the audio out, plugged my headphones into the Boostaroo and wow! I just wanted to let people know about this because I have found this information NOWHERE. Even folks selling satellite kits for bikes or Sirius themselves. You have a great product and finally cured my problem. Please let folks know about the satellite application. I promise I will let as many people know about it as I can.

How many times can you say "THANK YOU" to such a great company with super people with such outstanding products? Well, im doing it again! THANK YOU!!! A few months ago i left a testimonial about my purchase of the R234 BOOSTAROO REVOLUTION MODEL and how much i loved the improvements they made to it over the ORIGINAL BOOSTAROO which i had been using for several years listening to MP3 tunes and navigation while riding my TRIUMPH motorcycle as i am a full time bike rider and music and bike's just go together, and although both units done the job they had one flaw....BATTERIES! So after many phone calls to them about what us bike riders needed they listened and delivered! With the NEW 12-VOLT BOOSTAROO REVOLUTION MODEL R234-MC (so no more searching for AAAA batteries like the portable REVOLUTION uses when your on the road and they go dead and your in a small town at a small mom and pop store who has never heard of such a battery and you dont want to ride without your tunes!). So after waiting (with no patience...just ask Laura and Chase at Boostaroo!) i recieved the first 12-VOLT R234-MC REVOLUTION they shipped out, and the same day i recieved it i installed it on my bike and am very excited and happy about it as its almost everything i asked for, and the only reason im saying almost everything is the fact that this unit is not waterproof, but here is a few mod's i did to help that matter, the first thing i did since this unit has two audio output jacks and i only use one i put a small smear of clear silicone on one of them to keep water out of it, the other since this is the first production run of them it still has the battery compartment lid on back (which Chase told me will be removed on the later production models) i sealed it off with silicone also, so these few things didnt make it 100% waterproof it did help the water situation but i still advise to remove it in a rain down pour or when washing your bike, another mod i did was to remove the CLA (cigarette lighter adapter) and hard wire it in to my wiring harness on a circuit that is controlled by the ignition key switch so when i turn my key off the R234-MC goes off without having to unplug the patch cable that runs to it from my audio source, also i added to the positive side of the wire a sealed ATM fuseholder and installed a 2-AMP ATM fuse just in case (a not needed mod but since my bike uses all ATM type fuses is why i used that type of fuse but you can use other styles if desired), or if your bike has POWERLET PORTS (which my bike has three but i use them for heated cold weather riding gear and other needs) you can remove the CLA and install the POWERLET PLUG and use it that way or if your bike has a CIGARETTE LIGHTER PORT you dont have to do anything and POWERLET PORTS and CIGARETTE LIGHTERS PORTS are fused already! These was things i just wanted to do but was not needed to take advantage of this great new product from BOOSTAROO and as the first peron to recieve one and use one i wanted to be the first to give it a write up and big AAAAA+++++! So again i just want to say thank you BOOSTAROO for another great product and i guess they will be happy not to hear from me every other day now asking "IS IT READY YET!" but what about that OPTIONAL WATER PROOF VOLUME CONTROL? So all i can say now when the next version of the 12-VOLT WATERPROOF REVOLUTION MODEL is ready, they better have me on the list or i will be calling! THANX A MILLION..Mike Ward in KY

The first thing i have to say is THANK YOU! not just for the outstanding products from Boostaroo, but for the great people you deal with at Boostaroo! A big special THANK YOU to Laura in customer service and Chase in technical support, they are happy to talk with you anytime and answer any questions you ask and listen to your needs and wants for future products for us motorcycle riders as i think they are seeing there is a bunch of us out there and it could open up a whole new or larger market for them. Now for the products, i am a full time motorcycle rider and ride a new Triumph Sprint St sport touring bike and have been using the original Boostaroo for several years now listening to MP3 tunes and navigation in my Shoei full faced modular helmet with speakers installed from my Garmin Zumo 450 Gps and it worked great, but just a few weeks ago i purchased the new Revolution R234 model (just because i like to keep up with technology and improvements) with the optional volume control and it is like night and day compared to the original model and you will need the volume control to turn it down a little because the new model really pumps up the volume, if you ride a bike i highly recommend the new Revolution as you wont be sorry for the small investment for a quality product with such great large results. And as a bike rider i gave them a little input on what we need and they listened, as we need a waterproof Revolution, a optional waterproof volume control and a 12-volt direct wire model (which they tell me a 12-volt version will be available soon and and i cant wait until it does as i want one now! i hope the unit will turn off though when you turn the ignition key off or has a on-off switch as that would be a great feature and a big plus even for the portable battery powered model) But for now im happy with what they offer with no complaints (except for the no on/off switch on the Revolution, but i can live with it) So again all i can say to everyone no matter what you will use it for is "BUY ONE" you wont be sorry, THANK YOU AGAIN BOOSTAROO FOR THE GREAT PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM!

I ride a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a factory stereo and upgraded speakers. My stereo has sufficient volume, however; when I input music through my Ipod, I lose approximately 25% of my volume. I received a Garmin Zumo 450 for Christmas and it has a built in MP3 player. When playing music through the Garmin, I would lose approximately 50% of the volume. I considered purchasing an amplifier at a cost of around $400 until I learned about the Boostaroo. I figured I had nothing to lose because if it didn't work, I could give it to my daughter. I went riding this past weekend and I am very pleased with the Boostaroo. It brought the volume from the Garmin MP3 player to a level just slightly above the factory stereo. Instead of keeping the volume at 100%, I now keep it at 50%. I would not be able to use my MP3 player without this product. The only drawback is that it operates on batteries. Since this will be a permanent part of my motorcycle stereo system, I need a product that can be wired into my electrical system (inside my faring). I have been informed that one will be available in the future and I am looking to purchasing one when available. I highly recommend this product.

I just had to write to let you know I received my order today and to thank you for such an outstanding little miracle device. I had been put off for awhile by unfavorable user reviews on Amazon, but as I read more of them I began to suspect that some were by people who had no notion of the relationships embodied in Ohm's law.
Your tables of specifications clearly showed that the battery-powered and AC/USB models were identical, except for their power source, and that Boosteroo's effectiveness related directly to the rated impedance of the headset connected to them. However, some people just don't get it. I do, and am very happy with your product: the best little amplifier I've ever tried - hands down.
My endorsement is based on several decades of listening through various audio devices since I have lived with a hearing impairment since age 12 (now 62). So I have had many disappointments along the way. Not with Boostaroo, however. As soon as I received your package, I ran a non-scientific test, finding the weakest audio signal station on our new HDTV and, with my 24-ohm Sony Studio Monitor headphones connected directly, adjusted the TV volume to the level at which I no longer had to lip read to understand what was being said. That level was 90%. I then connected the headset to my new Boostaroo and increased volume from zero to the same hearing acuity level. That reading was 25%! In fact, I couldn't go beyond about 40% without risking damage to my ears or the headset.
In my book, that signal boost is better than outstanding, especially since I could detect no distortion or noise at any frequency. Amazing! I no longer have to drive others out of the room turning up the volume on our external sound system so that I can hear. I can now just use the separate, pre-wired headset directly from the mini-plug circuit on the TV for my level of stereo audio. I can't thank you enough, and my family thanks you too :-)

I finally received my order and I just wanted to thank you for it. The 'Boostaroo Revolution' works just wonderful... it's does everything you claimed it would do.
Due to my advanced age I have to use earphones to enjoy my music and most of all my television programs. This small piece of equipment works miracles and since usually TV Channels deliver audio at different values the volume control is a big plus.
My other hobby is 'Flight Simulation' and my problem it's still the same. Hearing deficiency. So I may consider purchasing one more set.
Thanks again and good luck !

IF YOU OWN A LATE-MODEL LAND ROVER PRODUCT YOU MUST PURCHASE A BOOSTAROO!! Anyone who has driven any late Rover product with an aux. input should buy this product. The Rover aux. 3.5mm connection offers very poor sound quality at very low levels. Here is a product that more than compensates for both problems. The Boostaroo makes the otherwise very poor aux. connection in a Rover sound like a CD- The best $30 you can spend on a Rover!

I stumbled upon this site almost 8 months ago. I decided to try the monthly drawing thing and thought, "what have I got to lose?" A few months later, I won! I was very excited; I got my amplifier just a few days after I received the email. I tried the amp and I was simply amazed at how loud it could get! It may sound rather... rehearsed but, honestly, I would recommend this to a lot of my friends and family. Trust me, you may like it.

i am writing this to tell you how pleased i am with the boostaroo i bought just before christmas last year. why you may ask did i wait so long to write this?well the timing came with a change of batteries, as amazing as it seems the first time i had to do so! of course you may say i never or hardly ever use my boostaroo; not so! in fact i use it every day (well 5 days a week) in work for about 6 hours at a time. its incredible. my only complaint is the size of the battery it uses AAAA, maybe you can get them easily enough in the U.S. (i did look for them in San Fransisco (great city by the way :) )a few months ago but couldnt find them) but here in Ireland they are impossible to come by until that is you look at a 9v duracell battery.it contains 6 of them. so impressed was i by the boostaroo i bought a second one soon after my first just in case my first one broke; it didnt. before i forget i should review the boostaroos ability to amplify the audio played through it. for that i give it top marks, actually improving the sound quality of music (of 256kps or more) while increasing its volume.some things in life are just brilliant, take a bow boostaroo!
ps. to the makers of boostaroo, is my battery life a record? just curious. i read somewhere that batteries last approx. 20 hours. obviously thats not true.

I have a profound hearing loss and finding a MP3 playler that is loud enough for me to hear was a hit or miss. I can't tell you how many MP3 playlers I have bought and had to return because I could not hear the music on them. Even the cool MP3 playlers like the ZUNES, IPODS, AND THE SONYS. I bought the Boostaroo thinking that it was going to amplify the sound enough for me to hear. I was thinking that I would have to return it, but I was wrong. THIS ROCKS!!! Trust me, it is worth the money $49 is nothing compared to what I have sent in the past! So, take it from the deaf guy. If I can hear with it, then so will people looking for that extra boost of volume to hear the music over machines at work or just loud surroundings. You will not be disappointed with this amplifier! This thing worth its weight in gold!!!

This is an AWESOME Product! I have used the Headphone Amplifiers for 2 years now and they work great! My music is much more clear, full and real sounding now. Plus, the bass is excellent and the high treble is superb. I use them with Koss SportaPro Headphones in the Gym and I couldn't be more pleased and happier with this great invention. I'm sure that the Koss Headphones help as well since I have not been able to find any better sounding portable headphones anywhere. They sound Very Good without the Boostaroo; but, they sound FANTASTIC with it. Plus, the battery has literally lasted me over a year in both amplifiers. I just make sure to un-plug the Input Cord when I am not using it, so that turns OFF the Boostaroo Power. Now, I need them to go and design it SMALLER so that it is easier to attach to my waste-band-clipped iPhone 3G in a Contour Design Case. Or, better yet, design it INTO or INSIDE OF the Koss SportaPro Headphones. That would be the ultimate product for me. Thank you for a GREAT PRODUCT!
A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER,

I wasn't expecting much from a gadget but I'm pleasantly surprised! I just needed a little more volume and didn't want to invest in a huge receiver. This is a great solution.

This product is revolutionary! (just like how they've labeled it) Trust me its unbelieveable - I now have to turn my iPod down for fear of popping those eardrums. You will not be disappointed. Its money well spent for music lovers on the go.

Best money ever spent. I purchased a garmin nuvi for my car for gps and mp3 purposes, but the volume output from my garmin into my car's headunit aux input was just missing that "extra punch". I'm sure garmin does this in order to save on the battery life if running off batteries.I was even considering about dropping well over 300 dollars for an amp and new speakers but I really didn't want a huge "bumpin system" as I'm getting older and I just don't care about such things anymore and there is really nothing wrong with my stock stereo system when listening to the radio or CD. All I wanted was more volume from my garmin with a little more punch from my stock speakers, and hopefully with no distortion or static.
I ran across this usb connected boostaroo aux boostaroo and after reading some reviews I said what the hell and I'll give it a try.
I plugged the usb adaptor into my cigarette lighter (got from radio shack, and powered on the usb connected boostaroo (which you can keep the power button on so it starts up with the car ignition, tucked everything up under the dash, and turned on my stereo system). All I can say is WOW! Where I had to turn up my car stereo to 75% is now @ 40% easy. No distortion, no static. Bass and overall sound was very very impressive. I seriously think the bass "sounded" better also. I even put my garmin nuvi on pause, cranked the volume to listen for static.. NONE. I'm very impressed.
Now I have all my electronics (radar detector, garmin nuvi, and my boostaroo all powering up with my car's ignition thru a 3-way cigarette lighter spliter... all tucked up behind dash... you don't even see any wires nor the boostaroo.
This little headphone amp gave me the extra punch/edge I was looking for with out spending big time bucks on a whole new system.
Thanks big time!

Wow, I was having such a busy time here, I didn't let you guys know how great your product was received here. I kept one, and used it mostly on my laptop, which doesn't output a lot of volume anyway. It worked absolutely fantastic! The Boostaroo Revolutions that I passed out to the guys here were used on convoys throughout Iraq, and were amazing! They were able to drown out the noise of the vehicles, which is unbearable at times. Thank You so very much for your great product. There are some happy people here because of your dedication to the soldiers here.
Thanks Again Kevin Kinzer Task Force 293rd Operation Iraqi Freedom

I use the revolution as a preamplifier to my amplifier for my motorcycle speakers using an mp3 player for the source. The revolution has at least doubled if not tripled the power coming from my mp3 player to the main system amplifier.

I need to increase the audio level from my iMac to my Crate FexWave 65/112 guitar amplifier's CD input jack. I think your Boostaroo Revolution® High Fidelity Portable Headphone Amplifier & Audio Splitter Model: #R234 will do the job but the expensive AAAA batteries are the deal breaker. Let me know when/if you develop an AC/DC version.

I don't see the use I would like to see for your product. Perhaps it can be used this way and you can tell me.
My hearing loss interferes with my television enjoyment. To crank the volume up on the TV for my listening, I blast out other viewers because they DO NOT have hearing loss.
So I'd like the ability to amplify ONLY my audio experience leaving the speakers of the television at normal audio levels for the other viewers. Is it possible with your product to split the audio this way so that only my audio is amplified?

I am 65 years old and because of genetic nerve deafness which showed up over 20 years ago and has now left me with 8% hearing in one ear, I was desperate when I ordered your Revolution: I hadn't heard music harmony in years and all of a sudden I could.
I have very expensive digital hearing aids that barely let me get by. And I sit here and look at your product as bringing the horrendous cost of less effective digital aids to the many elderly and poor of this nation who often are left with nothing.
Yours is the ONLY product that has let me rejoin the human race!
Many thanks.

I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with my Boostaroo. I bought a smartphone that is advertised as a "media" phone and it is crazy how low the volume is on it - with every setting on high. Well I got the original Boostaroo and now I keep my device volume at around 70% - instead of 100% - and I am astounded at the volume level and sound quality. It's just simply awesome. As soon as I upgrade my earphones I will definitely be upgrading my Boostaroo to the Revolution hi-def model. Thanks for a great product.

Bought a Boostaroo Revolution about a month ago for my PSP. The PSP's untouched audio is very muddy and there's absolutely no separation in sounds, etc. With the Revolution attached, it's like night and day. Downright awesome actually.
Only gripe is the cover tends to pop off quite easily. I lost mine and innocently inquired about a replacement (e-mail ignored), but other than that, the product works fantasically.
The use of quad-A batteries was actually a brilliant strategy. Just last night, mine ran out for the first time and I went ahead and bought an Energizer 9volt battery, pried the battery's case open with pliers and plucked out the six cells inside. They're a tad short for the Boostaroo, but they work. Pop the negative terminal of the 9-volt off and use it as a bridge between the batteries and the amp's terminal.

I ride motorcycles. Listening to road tunes through an MP3 with headphones, I've always fought both road noise and volume problems. The MP3's just can't pump out enough volume to overcome the noise. Skeptical as always, I nevertheless bought a Boosteroo for $29.95, absolutely convinced I'd return it. WOW! Was I wrong. It's better than I thought. The sound quality is fantastic, and the volume amazing. Even at 85 on the highway, I need to turn the volume down on my MP3. I couldn't be more pleased. Cruised around all day today with crisp, clear, LOUD music. Thanks.

I bought the Original Boostaroo about six months ago so I could take advantage of the aux. input on my car stereo deck. I couldn't believe how loud it got using my iriver clix. But recently I've been feeling the need to go louder, so I bought the Revolution. I could not turn my stereo all the way up since it was so loud. I have aftermarket speakers also, so the sound quality was amazing, a huge difference between the original and the revolution.

Just a word of thanks to all of you at Boostaroo. I purchased my first one ages ago to improve the volume output of my first gen ipod. Only recently did the male connector develop a short - a result of my not so delicate handling and the wear and tear of several years of constant traveling. I'm elated and amazed it lasted as long as it did. At any rate, I just ordered a new Revolution and literally can't wait for it to get here. I remain one of your humble fans.

This little gadget really works. I had tried my Dell Axim (has windows media), simply saving cd's to CF cards- they play, but sound is just too weak. The Revolution is the missing link- I've tried it with my Cowon MP3 player, my Axim- where it really shines is with any of the portable/battery powered speakers. It really boosts the JBL on tour, Virgin Boomtube. Best of all is with my Teac R100 rechargeable radio (like tivoli pal) - the MP3, PDA really perform when plugged into Aux. You should contact DEll- the Revolution transform the Axim into a genuine multimedia device. Michael Holmes

I recently purchased a boostaroo revolution to go with a pair of Shure E4c headphones. The boostaroo makes listening to mp3s on my ipod incredible. The boostaroo really extends the headphones base response and all my music sounds crisp and clean. This is one of the few products that I've purchased in the past year that actually does everything it advertises. Makes long nights at the library much less stressful.

I found out about this site through a motorcycle forum on Delphi forums. I read the site and reviews. I didn't know if "doubling" the sound was going to be enough for my Sirius sportster radio I installed on my motorcycle. I happened to see the Boostaroo at Best Buy and took a chance, thinking if I didn't like it I could return it easier. I installed it in the parking lot and about blew my ear drums out! I had forgotten to turn the volume down on the sportster radio. I am more than happy with the volume and quality of this product. I should also say my cruiser has modified pipes, a windshield and I use external headphones (not earbuds). I hear as much music as I want or as much traffic as I want. I highly recommend this product.

Hi. I love it. THE WORLDS BEST KEPT GADGET SECRET, WITHOUT A DOUBT. Every gadget or audio enthusiast should have one. I bought the basic unit it to give me louder and clearer audio at the gym from PDA for audiobooks and from ipod. It does this perfectly. Other uses are at the football to share the radio with my kids. I often use it on my bicylce with a cheap tiny Crest SF-10 stereo speaker. I can fit the amp, speaker and my 80 gig ipod all in my shirt pocket, and hear loud clear audio as I ride, without having to use ear plugs (which I think are dangerous on a bike). The battery life is amazing ! Mine seems to run for months on AA's....even if I don't turn it off. If you do not have one, don't hesitate. You really will not be disappointed.

I bought 2 of the original Boostaroo amps a while ago and fell instantantly in love with them. I just got my first Revolution, and man what a joy of sonic bliss. Please give your R&D team a nice healthy bonus. I cannot wait to see what you guys (and gals) come up with next.
I have made all my friends envious with your portable amps, while they spend twice as much and have to carry more weight to get the same sound quality that my Revolution gives me. The Rev, pushes my Sennheiser HD545 Reference cans to highs I never would have thought, that my Rio Karma and CL Zen Micro could have sounded so much better with these portable amps.
I'll end this and just say, Thank you for creating a awesome product, and as a owner of 3 of your products. I cannot wait till I can own the 4th, 5th,6th, ect products you produce. Keep up the great work. I cannot wait to see what you come up with next.

I'm SPOILED, and you have opened up a whole new world of ear candy for me. I already had an excellent (and expensive) pair of monitor headphones. I didn't think the sound going into them could be improved upon, but the Revolution did exactly that. Bolder, cleaner, more crisp throughout the entire range, with subtleties I never noticed before. Just wanted to make a comment about the revolution. Was skeptical at first. I drive motorcycle long distances. With ear plugs, road noise, wind noise, engine noise, I just barely hear my satelite radio. Well I can't believe this little (big) device. I mean WOW!!!!! I had my satelite to the highest volume before the device. Then i plugged it in. At the lowest volume, I'm 100% louder. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Its all I need, thanks, Kurt from CANADA.

My personal comment; I always look for the specs, and I was truly amazed at what the labs are saying.. It's been my experience that some line noise is added in any connection, and losses are incurred. This device is incredable, I have an inexpensive, new generation,mp3,wma,CD disc player and my playback copy and playback is at 192mbps. Your basic unit with three outputs is perfect with my phonetopia selection and those specs are from 6-3200mghz your uint does the entire spectrum, as far as I can hear, without adding anything but pure, sweet punch!!!

I pimped my stock car stereo out using 2 of your Original Boostaroos and a Boostaroo Revolution. The sound is amazing, it's like having a $500-$1000 dollar car system installed, and I only spent $119.97 on the whole thing. Not only that, but I wired the units directly into my stereo allowing me to have an auxillary in port for my iPod. I have never heard my music sound so good. You should see the looks that I get when I show people the inside of my trunk after they hear it. (There's nothing in the back but 2 6x9's) =)
You guys rock!!!

I Love my Boostaroo Revolution!
I can use it to save the battery on my iPod. I can play the volume much, much lower on the iPod - which means my battery lasts Longer between charges. And that's handy. Plus, replacing An iPod battery is mucho expensive, (like, over $100 and it means I have to send it in to do that, so I'm iPodless for a couple of weeks. Who needs that? So, anything I can do to put off that dreaded day is a good thing.
Second, if I use it with my FM Transmitter in my car, I don't get The dreaded "static drift" because the added power helps it to lock On to my station as I'm driving. Another good thing.
And, using it makes my music sound better than ever. Richer, fuller Like I'm right on stage with the band. So, that's a very good thing.
And when I go home I can use it with my docking station or mini-computer speakers and get full stereo surrounds sound.
Or, go to silent mode and just use it with my headphones. I get Home theatre sound out of this little iPod and my Revolution. A very good thing.
Thank You so Much Boostaroo.com!
Ashley

Ooo do I love this! Your Revolution makes my iPod sounds better than my home stereo.
I wasn't that unhappy with the sound of my music, I just needed a way to overcome city noise. I bought the Bose Quiet Comfort headsphones and thought that would help. They do, but still not enough volume.
I tried the Revolution and I'm amazed. It's not just the volume increase. It changes everything. It makes it seem like I'm right up on the stage and gettin down with the band.
From now on I'm packin a Revolution.

There is no better way to hear music on a motorcycle than with an MP3 player coupled to a Boostaroo, heard through a set of noise cancelling headphones. (Sorry Goldwing and Ultra Glide riders, but you know you can't really hear the music well through speakers with 60 MPH wind going by). My set-up is a 1 gig flash memory Sandisk MP3 coupled with a velcro strap around it and the Boostaroo to make the pair a handy pocket sized unit and tame the "cord clutter" heard through a pair of cheap, ($20.00) noise cancelling headphones I picked up at a PEP BOYS auto parts store. The noise cancelling phones are a must, because although the Boostaroo is capable of volumes sufficient to overcome the wind noise, with the noise cancelling phones, the clarity is improved and volume level doesn't have to "scream" to overcome the ambiant racket. It's the best

I hooked up the Boosteroo to a computer at my wife's office and then connected two sets of speakers so she could listen to Internet radio in two different rooms. Works great--except only one speaker works in each room. I then solved the problem of only one speaker working in each room.
A quick Google of this issue suggested that if the plugs aren't all the way seated into the sockets in any set up, you get only one speaker. I pressed them in harder and voila! Absolutely great sound. Thanks for the great product.

This is an amazing unit that does just what it claims...amplifies any signal put into it. I recorded lots of voice mp3s and had a hard time hearing some of the files. The Boostaroo gave me just the right amount of boost to make every word intelligible. It's a little large for carrying around with an mp3 player, but works well in a car, plane, etc. I live it!

I Love your product. I recommend the 3 ft. cord though for a few extra bucks. I was working a flight in first class the other day. The 2 people in 1A & B had no audio for some reason. I was able to hook up MY Boostaroo to 2A and Everyone was able to listen to the movie. This made them very happy and I think you might get more sales. Thanks, Mark

I've had the Boostaroo for a couple of years now. It has been beat up, dropped, kicked and abused, but it still gives me excellent performance. I love this thing. It's the only way I can drown out the NYC subway, and enjoy musical bliss to and from work.

I just recently received my Boostaroo in the mail. I have to say, I am more than pleased. One of the reasons I bought the expensive PDA I did was because it has an embedded mp3 player...I was sad to discover its weak audio output capability. Thanks to my Boostaroo, I'm getting my full money's worth and my friends can listen along with me in Stereo!

My Boostaroo was shipped on Jan 20th. and received in The Netherlands (Europe) on 23rd ! Speedy service! Let UPS try that for $1.5 !! I needed an extra boost for my laptop so my twin-daughters (6 yrs old) can watch DVD-movies while travelling. AND IT WORKS GREAT! Even low freq. sound much better. Without the Boostaroo the soundlevel was way too low, even with 1 headphone. Today I tried 3 headphones and they still outperform a single headphone without the amplifier!! Thanks for keeping the promise! A very happy and relaxed dad ;-)

I use the Boostaroo for the kids' TV. My 3 kids each have their own inexpensive headphones with individual volume control. When we want quiet and the kids are watching cartoons, we just say "Headphones!" and the dome of blessed silence descends. Also works great for the kids watching a dvd movie on the laptop on a train or in the motel room. Viva Boosteroo!

Well, I have a pair of Senheizer HD270, and I just coulnd't find a portable cd player who would give enuf juice out to make the heaphones usable on anything else than an home amplifier.
After purchasing this thing, I was suddenly able to enjoy studio quality sound on the go to work.

Using my Boostaroo between an Archos Multimedia and a pair of Sennheiser MX500 headphones, not only increses the volume but significantly improves quality. The acid test being when you take it out of the loop, the sound becomes very lack lustre, almost feeble in nature. Criticisms are minor, I'm unsure whether it falls into the 'eats batteries' category, and the other being in the UK that the price over here doesn't reflect the price in the USA (£25 vs $19), this however is minor based on the excellent service from mp3players.co.uk. Well done to all concerned, expect more orders, mine is already doing the rounds in work with much reassuring nodding of heads.

THIS THING ROCKS!!!!!
I have had my Boostaroo for a little over two years and it is unbelievable. I live in Chicago and take the CTA, subway/EL, everyday and the extra noise always cuts through a normal cd players volume. With the boostaroo I never miss a note and those sitting close enough get to listen as well, I like it LOUD.
It is also , usually, very durable as it has been bumped and banged around for most of it's life. However, I now am ordering my second Boostaroo do to snow covered steps and gravity. I fell down a flight of stairs and landed right on the pocket my CD/Boostaroo was in. The Cd player lived, barely, but the Boostaroo to a direct hit and loosened the wires inside it. It works but only through one side, and we all know Mono stinks!!
I fell very comforatble ordering another one of these and can't wait to get my new one. If you haven't tried one of these fabulous devices then you are missing out.
Get one NOW!!!

I do a lot of travelling in a variety of vehicles, of which most if not all have no form of music available (i.e radio or cassette). So with this in mind I purchased an mp3 jukebox to wile away the hours whilst travelling. Although I was generally impressed with the jukebox I was a little dissapointed to find that even on full volume, the output was poor at best. I tried several pairs of headphones with only marginal results. I eventually happened across the boostaroo web site and after looking at it repeatedly for about 2 months and reading the reviews, I eventually decided to take the plunge and order it. When I received it, my first impression was "WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?". It was remarkable, the increase in quality and sheer volume was fantastic. Also the time it had taken from us to uk was less than 5 days. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product to anyone who has a similiar product with similiar goals. VOLUME!!!!!! Now , finally, when someone says "PUMP UP THE VOLUME!", thanks to BOOSTAROO I finally can. Thank you for an excellent product.

I received my Boostaroo yesterday 4/26/02. Very prompt service thanks. I tried it out with one headset and one set of earbuds. I can't believe the improvement and fullness of sound with the unit.I have been looking for something like this as I fly a lot and the drone of the engines doesn't always harmonize with my CD.s. I think it will also be great hearing the sound on airline movies. Both me and my wife thank Boostaaroo for your solution to our problem.

I think you underrate the Boostaroo in you FAQ page when it comes to 32 ohm headphones. I've been using it with my Grado SR-60s, which are rated at 32 ohms, and there is a major improvement in both volume and sound quality. There are some great 32 ohm headphones out there from companies, such a myGrados and the Sennheiser 497s, which can be driven quite well by the Boostaroo and will give excellent sound quality from even a very underpowered MP3 player.

My T.V. doesn't have headphones connector, it only has stereo RCA audio output, so I was unable to connect my headphones to it. I knew about the boostaro in a electronic store, I bought it, I made a cable adapter to connect the boostaro to a RCA output and it works very fine, now I'm very happy because I can listen my T.V. without disturb to anybody else (I can turn the speakers off on the T.V. with a switch).
Now you have another application for this great product !!!

I purchased the boosteroo recently and I think this is a must have device for any portable music device. I have been using it as a line-out amp to my car stereo input and it works great. This little thing not only boosts your sound levels without loss of quality, but it also increases the battery life of your player. This not is reading like a informercial testimonial I know, but I am truly blown away with the versatility of this 20 dollar gadget. The only feature I would like changed is the battery position. I think it would make the unit easier to carry if the batteries were side by side. But I attatched velcro to the side of unit and placed velcro on my mp3 player and also the dash of my truck. ;-) Thanks for a great product and Awesome technical support....

Your product has proved VERY successful in my line of work (military pilot). Because I wear ear plugs while flying, I have been hooking two Boostaroos in series to achieve the desired volume. Unfortunately, during my last trip to the Desert, my Walkman and Boostaroos 'walked away'. I need to replace them, but thought I would ask if there is a more powerful Boostaroo available so that I don't have to connect two together? Thanks for the reply in advance!

I've just received my Boostaroo and couldn't be more pleased. I was considering buying a competitor's headphone amplifier that cost almost eight times as much, but the Boostaroo does exactly what I need. I use it with noise-cancelling headphones and a CD player when I fly. It puts out a clean, full-fidelity signal that lets me hear my music clearly.
Great product, great price!

I am one of the people who are sick of the volume problems with some of the recent MP3 Players. Since MP3's are encoded at all different volume levels, many songs are much too low at the max volume. After plugging my headphones into the Boostaroo, the volume increased so much that it played all the low recorded songs at the "perfect" volume, and all normal songs at an extremely loud a volume. This is great!! Now I actually have control over my volume. Thanks Boostaroo!

Two years ago I bought one of your Boosteroo amplifiers/headphone to hopefully cure a problem on my laptop. I couldn't hear the sound very well when playing a DVD during my travels via train. (This turns out to be a technical problem for my brand of laptop when the PC is busy decoding the video stream.)
Anyway, I bought your product to solve this problem and it worked! The sound is significantly louder when using the Boosteroo and it makes the movie- watching on my laptop very enjoyable.
Thanks for the great products!

I am part of a meditation group that gets together once a month. We listen to a variety of tapes and CD's.
With a single Boosteroo, six splitters and a ten headphone headphone extension cables, we can easily drive 9-10 headphones with no loss in sound quality. At about 12, the sound quality begins to fall off. But that's no problem, add a splitter in front and two Boosteroo's and we can handle 18-20 folks.
Most amplifiers introduce hiss or noise - not the Boosteroo. Great Product.
The only problem we have run into is that our local Fry's has quit carrying it.

We received the Boosteroo as a gift, what a great one! Since then we have purchased several more. We do all of our listening with headphones, and the players we use, DAT-Walkman, Discman, and cassette walkman, never achieve the desired volume. With the Boosteroo not only does the music become more alive, but three people are enabled to join in on the fun! The Boosteroo has made listening to our collection of live Grateful Dead music much more enjoyable. We highly recommend this product.

I bought the Boostaroo after seeing it advertised on another website, when I was going to buy some speakers for my motorcycle helmet (Bass Monsters @ Equinox). I can only say how happy I am that I did! Without the Boostaroo, audio is virtually non-existant, but with it, I can now hear everything and can even turn down the volume! Excellent product at an excellent price - I have no hesitation at recommending this to anyone and am already doing so to my friends. Plus the service from the company was fantastic - UK postal systems are very slow but my Boostaroo arrived in just 3 days from the States - again Fantastic. Just a final note for motorcyclists:- the volume and quality of the audio does vary quite a lot between different makes and models of helmet and by how much wind noise is generated by the motorcycle. Persevere though, it is worth it. Hope this helps.

This will be the second Boostaroo I've owned--I used the first continuously at work, attached to my portable cassette player. I'm afraid that the first one bit the dust, and I can't do without it! Greetings from Sweden!
When I first heard about your product via www.3dsoundsurge.com I got very interested, so I mailed you and asked if I could use your Boostaroo for amplifying my AKG 240 Monitor headphones. You were honest with me and told me that because of the 600 ohm's impedance (these are professional studio headphones), the Boostaroo of today wouldn't help me. That's highly appreciated!
But the interesting part is that you also told me that you are planning to release a Boostaroo that does!
Myself, and about a couple of million PC-gamers out there can't wait for that product to hit the market!
In PC soundcards, we have the same problem with amplifiers that are too weak...
So get on it! You have a HUGE market just waiting for you! At all the gaming "LAN-party's", internetcafé's and other gamingplaces, only headphones are allowed...
Hoping for a product soon! //Mats

BIG-volume thanks to all of you at Boostaroo. My little unit came today (already!) and brightened my day. So far, it does everything it's advertised to do (though I haven't yet tested how much it will lengthen the life of my regular batteries).

@ COMDEX doesn't have a monopoly on cool gadgets and gizmos. Have y'all seen Boostaroo? This thing kicks! It'll amplify and split the sound from any portable audio device -- making mini-speakers and headphones twice as powerful (by splitting the sound into separate channels). Put that in your favorite hardware MP3 player and smoke it.

BrightHand (www.brighthand.com) has added the Boostaroo to its list of highly recommended products.
In an article on MP3 music on its Web site, BrightHand states, "Unfortunately, the Casio Cassiopeia palm-size computers aren't loud enough for most listeners -- even at their highest settings. To address this shortcoming, BrightHand recommends purchasing a specialized add-on device called the Boostaroo. The Boostaroo not only increases the volume, but improves sound quality as well. We give it our highest recommendation."

Hello Tom,
Two weeks ago you and I spoke of using the Boosteroo with the Top Gear EuroCom motorcycle communications system. This system includes bike to passenger communication, bike to bike communication, and a music interface (CD, radio, cassette). This system overall is great, but it has one shortcoming - the music interface lacked enough volume to make it useful at highway speeds with my type of motorcycle.
I ordered two Booseroo units and this past weekend put them to the test. I went out with a buddy rolling up 800 miles here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. As promised, here's my findings.
The Boosteroo increased the music volume to the perfect listening level...even at 80 mph! Prior to using your product the wind and road noise overroad the music volume at around 45 mph. My friend has the ProCom unit (more bells and whistles than the Eurocom) with music plus he added a radar detector interface. His Booseroo worked the same as for me, perfectly, without taking away from or interfering with the operation of the radar detector.
In a nut shell, nothin' but raves!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for making a good product that's inexpensive and performs as advertised!
Best Regards,
Paul C. Sutphen

I've been using the Boostaroo for 3 days and really like it so far. I purchased the computer model and use it at work. It is very convenient and boosts the sound clarity and volume.
I have 2 recommendations for the next model: 1) longer cord, at least 5'. 3' is still too short. 2) Optional A/C adaptor. I use mine several hours every day and I know I will get tired of going through batteries.
